DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — The De Pere City Council is going to be considering it’s own mask ordinance next week.
De Pere Mayor James Boyd says it will be similar to the ordinance going into effect Monday in Green Bay.
“We waited on Green Bay to see what they would do on Tuesday,” Boyd told WTAQ. “We were prepared actually earlier than that but we want to be somewhat similar Green Bay to lessen the confusion.”
The special meeting is set for Tuesday, July 28 at 6 p.m.
The proposed ordinance would require people ages 5 years and older to wear cloth face coverings or face shields inside buildings accessible to the public and when utilizing public transportation.
