OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Oshkosh Area School District says it will transition back to hybrid learning next week.
Starting Thursday, Nov. 12, students in grades 4K-12 will learn both at home and in the classroom.
The district went virtual near the end of September due to rising coronavirus cases in the area.
In a letter to families Tuesday, the district says its decision was made with consultation from the Winnebago County Health Department, adding, “if the Department advised that it was not safe for us to resume hybrid learning, we would not be taking this approach.”
The district says it has a scheduled return to virtual learning for the weeks of November 30th – December 4th, 2020 and January 4th-8th, 2021. This planned temporary return to virtual learning is meant to help mitigate a possible increase in COVID-19 spread.
