KANKAKEE, IL (WTAQ) — A Green Bay Homicide suspect has been arrested in Illinois.
US Marshals operating in Kankakee, Illinois, around 60 miles south of Chicago arrested 27-year-old Robert Bowsky last Thursday on a homicide warrant from Green Bay.
Bowsky allegedly shot and killed 24-year-old Deanthony Odum and injured two others on June 19th near Seymour Park in Green Bay. It’s believed Bowsky fled the state immediately after the shooting.
Police say they do not believe that the shooting is linked to the group of around two dozen people police have been working to bring to justice for a rash of shootings that have taken place this year, and that while Bowsky may have known some of the people within that group, he was not involved.
