DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — There was a large police presence this morning on East River Drive in De Pere.
Sheriff’s Deputies were seen outfitted with tactical gear surrounding a house on that street.
Sheriff’s officials tell WTAQ that the incident stemmed from a false allegation of a threat with a weapon that occurred during a child custody exchange. The person who made the false allegation was arrested.
Law enforcement was cleared out by 11:00 am.
