ATHELSTANE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The case of a missing man from Milwaukee has been cleared after his body was discovered in Marinette County over the weekend.
A couple walking on their wooded property in the town of Athelstane Saturday afternoon reported human remains hanging from a tree. It was apparent the remains had been there for quite some time, officials say.
It was determined the human remains belonged to 54-year-old Benjamin D. Bodwin of Milwaukee. He was last seen in August of 2018 after leaving his broken-down vehicle at a business in Athelstane.
No foul play is suspected and the medical examiner ruled Bodwin’s death to be a suicide.
