GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay Area Public School students will begin to return to the classroom in late March, according to a release from the district.
The district, which has been all-virtual all school year so far, will allow staff to return to school on March 22nd, followed by Head Start through 5th grade students on March 29th, along with students in 6th and 9th grades. Grades 7, 8, 10, 11,and 12 will return to class on April 5th.
Grades 6-12 will return in a blended cohort model, with Cohort A attending in-person on Monday and Tuesday, and Cohort B attending on Thursday and Friday. Wednesday will be a virtual learning day.
Virtual learning will still be available.
The schedule was released following Tuesday’s revelation by state health officials that teachers will be allowed to get vaccinated starting on March 1st. District officials voted last week to hold off on allowing students to return until three weeks after teachers are allowed to be vaccinated.
