GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Cancellations are rolling in across the region as snow continues to fall as part of the seasons first winter storm.
Between four and six inches of snow is expected in Green Bay and the Fox Valley, with more in northern counties and less by the lakeshore.
After the storm, arctic air will move into the region sending temperatures plummeting with expected lows in the double-digits below zero.
“Once that arctic air settles, it takes a bit to get out of here, so people need to get prepared,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Taso Kallas.
That means staying home and not going outside unless you absolutely have to. If you do absolutely have to, wear layered clothing.
Caution is recommended on area roads. Several minor accidents have been reported.
