OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The leader of the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation is stepping down.
President/CEO Jason White says he will depart in April. The EDC says he has taken a job closer to family in Iowa.
“I moved my family here from the Des Moines area six years ago for the opportunity to launch something new and incredible in a city with one of the world’s most recognizable names,” White said in a news release. “The support from this organization’s founding investors sustained me during the early years while we worked to gain traction in the community. I am proud to leave the organization in a strong and respected position.”
“Jason’s efforts to take care of area companies, entrepreneurs, and build workforce resulted in creating a stronger region. The organization has a talented team and enjoys important community support. The board wishes Jason well and will actively seek a new leader for Greater Oshkosh,” Ken Arneson, Greater Oshkosh EDC board chair, said in a news release.
Greater Oshkosh EDC was founded in 2015 and touts itself as the region’s first private-public economic development corporation.
