OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin is ending its naming rights deal for Menominee Nation Arena, effective April 1, the arena announced Tuesday.
“COVID-19 brought its many struggles and hardships this past year impacting both of our properties. At this time, it is the right decision for Menominee Nation to step back and focus on their primary operations,” said Jason Fields, GM and Partner of Menominee Nation Arena. “The Menominee Nation Arena has become an iconic building in Oshkosh and Wisconsin that brings a tremendous value for a future naming rights partner.”
The arena is working with Spectra Partnerships to find a new naming rights advertiser for the arena, which recently hosted part of the WIAA basketball championships, and is the home of the Wisconsin Herd G-League basketball team. It also hosts other events and concerts. The 3,500-seat arena opened in 2017.
