LAWRENCE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new indoor sports training facility is open in the Town of Lawrence.
Owners of the Impact Sports Academy held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning.
The new facility has a full-size infield, eight batting cages and a sports performance center to cater to area baseball and softball players.
The owners say they needed the new building because of how much they’ve expanded over the past several years.
“We bursted at the seams in our first facility, so Jason and Emily put their heads together and said ‘We need to come up with a bigger idea to help better our kids in our community,’ so that’s what we did, and that’s what they did. It’s a great building,” Impact Sports Academy Facility Manager Paul Wagner said.
The new building will allow for kids to train and play year-round.
