NEW FRANKEN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Brown County Sheriff’s officials say two kayakers found the body of the missing boater on the Bay of Green Bay around 4 Monday afternoon and contacted law enforcement.
The victim is identified as 28-year-old Jorge Bautista. The Green Bay man was casualty of an incident Sunday when stormy weather on the bay led to a boat capsizing.
Six other people, including a child, were rescued.
NEW FRANKEN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Multiple emergency response crews were on the scene of a water rescue at Bay Shore Park in Brown County.
Officials at the scene said a total of seven people went into the water after a boat capsized.
Six people were rescued. As of early this morning, one person was still missing.
Officials were suspending rescue efforts for the evening last night and will be back on scene today.
