APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton veterans now have a new wellness center. It’s located in the Wisconsin Veterans Village.
The Oscar C. Boldt Wellness Center is named in honor of a World War II army pilot who passed away last year. His son, Tom, is the CEO of The Boldt Company, which provided funding for the veterans village.
The 35 residents of the village will be able to use the fitness center whenever they want.
“It’s really important for veterans to engage in activities to promote health and wellbeing, so this fitness center is going to allow our veterans here, right on site, to have access 24/7 to a state of the art fitness center,” said Josh Andreini, navigator of Veterans Services.
The center features exercise equipment, a weight room and more.
