APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Valley Transit says it’s temporarily adjusting its bus schedule after seeing lower ridership since the start of the pandemic.
Beginning Aug. 30, Valley Transit will dedicate one bus to each of its fixed routes.
The bus company says it also has fewer drivers on staff.
“We know this change will greatly affect those who rely on Valley Transit,” Ron McDonald, general manager of Valley Transit, said. “This decision was not made lightly; we analyzed ridership data for all of our routes and made schedule adjustments where the least impact would be felt by our community of riders.”
The adjusted schedules will remain in effect until further notice.
