DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The West De Pere School District dedicated and showed off some of its new facilities Saturday morning.
Three years ago, voters approved $74 million worth of work in the district.
The ribbon was cut on a new intermediate school for 5th and 6th graders.
Superintendent Dennis Krueger says the school was built over the last 17 months to help ease overcrowding.
“What makes it the best is seeing the kids and teachers in here learning. They really make this space a school and it’s fantastic.”
The high school also added an athletic facility and 14 classrooms. A new auditorium will also be done by the end of November.
