WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Authorities are asking people keep an eye out for a missing and endangered man from Waupaca.
Police say 76-year-old Robert Clinch was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in front of the Whistling Pines Group home where he lives, located at 121 County QQ in Waupaca.
Officials say he went outside to smoke a cigarette, carrying a duffle bag. He had made mention to a person nearby that he was planning to go to New Mexico.
Clinch’s guardian believes he may have gotten a ride to the Baraboo area.
He has done this in the past and traveled quite far prior to being located, police say.
Clinch has alcohol induced dementia and may get confused.
Clinch is described as American Indian, 5’7” tall, 180 pounds, brown eyes and long, sliver hair. He goes by the nickname Chief.
He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt and jeans. He walks with a cane and wears earrings most of the time.
