MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An office building in downtown Menasha is being converted into a mixed-use development with commercial and residential space.
Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction Inc. says it is converting the current three-story office building at 130 Main St. The basement and first floor will be commercial space. The second and third floors will be made into 14 apartments. A fourth floor will also be added. The exterior brick will be stained and new windows will be installed.
Dark Horse Development of Appleton owns the 32,500-square-foot building, which will be called Harbor Lofts.
“The fourth-floor addition will be part of the third-floor loft units with common apartment space on the third floor and the bedroom and master bath part of the loft addition on the top floor,” Cole Alsbach of Dark Horse Development said in a news release. “Two of the seven loft units will also feature a patio/deck, providing a beautiful view of Main Street and the marina.”
Interior demolition has already begun. Construction is expected to be finished by the end of 2022.
