ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new hotel close to Lambeau Field broke ground Tuesday.
On the site of what used to be Brett Favre’s Steakhouse on Brett Favre Pass will be the home of the new Legacy Hotel.
The six-story hotel features 78 studio suites, 19 classic suites and three grand suites.
It will cater to upscale guests and include a roof-top terrace bar, farm-to-table brasserie, coffee lounge, spa, and meeting spaces.
The hotel will also showcase vibrant design and functionality inspired by the city of Green Bay and the history of Wisconsin.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, the project’s principal explained why officials chose the name.
“Legacy is a tribute to someone who has had an impact on the world around them,” said The Legacy Hotel project principal, Victoria Fabry. “My late husband John gave me his legacy and encouraged me to create something where people could gather, where people could celebrate, and where they could build their own legacies.”
Officials say they expect the Legacy to be open in late summer of 2023.
