GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The National Weather Service says so far this year, there have been 20 confirmed tornadoes in Wisconsin.
This includes the 10 tornadoes that touched down in Northeast Wisconsin on June 15.
According to NWS, the average number of tornadoes in the state for the year is 23.
Severe storms marched across the state on June 15. Two EF-2 tornadoes occurred along with 11 EF-1 tornadoes from west central Wisconsin to our area.
NWS confirmed the following tornadoes in Northeast Wisconsin on June 15:
- Stockbridge-Munsee Reservation in Shawano County
- Manawa
- Black Creek/Seymour
- West Bloomfield
- Silver Cliff
- Navarino
- Bowler
- Middle Inlet
- Amberg
- Pembine
Last year, the state of Wisconsin had 41 tornadoes confirmed and in 2020, there were 20.
