MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Hospitalizations for COVID-19 are steadily increasing across the state. Northeast Wisconsin hospitals aren’t seeing an increase, but Fox Valley hospitals are.
The Wisconsin Hospital Association reported treating 464 COVID-19 patients, the most since the beginning of March. Monday’s total was 11 more than the day before and 36 more than a week earlier. Of those, 54 were in intensive care, which is four fewer than a day ago but six more than a week ago.
Fox Valley region hospitals had 26 COVID-19 patients, which is 18 more than the day before and 17 more than a week ago. Of those, five were in the ICU, up one in a day and five in a week.
Despite the rise in hospitalizations in the Fox Valley, the level of COVID-19 spread for Outagamie and Calumet counties remains low.
