LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – More than 200 jobs are coming to the Fox Valley. Excellerate, a division of Faith Technologies Incorporated, broke ground on a new facility Monday.
The company gathered with local partners to begin the construction of its new facility. The new building will be 385,000-square feet.
“It’s been about three years in the making to get this spot. We’ve been in the Fox Valley since 1972,” said Pat McGettigan, executive vice president of Excellerate. “The community has given a lot to us but now being able to generate another 200-plus jobs is a big piece of that.”
Excellerate is an innovator of manufactured electrical components and assemblies. The company is expanding to meet the increased demand for its prefabricated sustainable electrical energy solutions.
“It can range from a small electrical skid up to a 40-mega watt module, electrical building that we completely build off site and take this site and deploy,” said McGettigan.
The facility will be the center for Excellerate’s manufacturing, which includes microgrids.
Mike Jansen, Faith Technologies’ Inc. CEO, says microgrids create energy in a renewable way.
“Either solar or wind and then it converts it. It kind of manages the electricity,” said Jansen.
Using clean energy technology, the building will be a smart manufacturing facility.
“So that we can maximize the value behind the energy while reducing the waste,” said Jansen.
It’ll be equipped to reach net-zero in the future.
“A lot of the things that we’re doing, that’s our goal, right, is to get a zero carbon footprint,” said McGettigan.
When it comes to getting one of the new jobs, Jansen says anyone can qualify.
“We’ll teach you the skills,” said Jansen. “What we want employees to have is the culture of care, the culture around wanting to do good.”
The new facility will be complete next fall.
