FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Ten people have been charged in what the Fond du Lac County district attorney calls a “historical distribution” of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Authorities say three of the 10 charged are still on the run.
Fond du Lac County authorities held a news conference Thursday.
The investigation, which also included Michigan, discovered the delivery and distribution of more than 100 pounds of meth with the street value of $1 million in 2022, as well as the early stages of a fentanyl distribution operation.
Authorities seized 3.25 pounds of meth and 280 grams of fentanyl.
District Attorney Eric Toney says that amount of fentanyl would be enough to kill 104,000 people, that’s more than every resident in Fond du Lac County.
Authorities are looking for Jason Norton, Dalton Wojkiewicz and Anthony Tynan.
The other seven are in custody ranging on cash bails set from $100,000 to $500,000. They are:
Melvin Kemp
Julie Kurczek
Samantha Nett
Kyla Ott
Joshua Kerns
Eugene Jackson
Taylor Retzleff
