FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of the suspects in a 2021 murder pleaded not guilty Thursday.
Eric Perry, 28, entered the not guilty pleas to counts of first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery in connection with the shooting death of Benzel Rose on Oct. 17, 2021.
No trial date has been set. Perry returns to court March 29 for a status conference, court records show.
The other suspect, Julius Freeman, has an arraignment next week.
According to the criminal complaint, Freeman and Perry allegedly killed Rose during an armed robbery. Prosecutors say Freeman and Perry took cash and a gun from Rose, then Perry shot him in the head.
