MARINETTE, WI (WLUK) — The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office says there is no indication of foul play related to a man who has not been seen for more than a week.
Investigators say Theodore (Teddy) Egge, 35, was last seen January 13th walking southbound on Northway Drive from Benson Lake Road, asking for directions to Boat Landing 7 Road in the Athelstane area.
Based off information the sheriff’s department has received, it says it is believed Egge left Northway Drive, possibly walking into the woods or down a forest road.
Known cameras in the area have been checked with no sight of Egge, according to Marinette County authorities.
Egge doesn’t have a working cellphone and is not familiar with the area, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is asking property owners in this area to check their cabins and properties for any possible sign of Egge being there or passing through their properties. They would also lie all game or security cameras to be looked at.
The sheriff’s office says it is also highly unlikely Egge was picked up by a motorist.
Egge’s family is offering a $5,000 reward for any information on his location. It was previously $2,500.
The sheriff’s office says it continues to investigate all tips received.
If anyone has any information on Egge, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 715-732-7627 or Crimestoppers.
