STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Door County YMCA reached its $10.2 million goal for its renovation and expansion of the Sturgeon Bay Program Center.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received during this campaign,” said Tonya Felhofer, CEO of the Door County YMCA. “The funds raised will help us continue our work of building a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, and to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our community.”
The expansion project adds 16,300 square feet to the facility, adding social gathering spaces, an expanded wellness center, new youth activity center, kitchen, outdoor classroom and increased accessibility.
The facility remains open while work continues.
A ribbon cutting is expected around Labor Day.
