GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Wisconsin Spring Primary Election is Tuesday and no matter where you live you do have something on the ballot.
The field of four candidates for one seat on the State Supreme Court will be narrowed down to two. Judges Jennifer Dorow, Janet C. Protasiewicz, Dan Kelly, and Everett Mitchell are all vying for the ten-year term on the state’s high court.
While the state Supreme Court election is non-partisan, many observers and special interest groups have pooled the candidates into liberal and conservative pots. Dorow and Kelly are considered conservative or right-leaning, and Mitchell and Protasiewicz are considered liberal or left-leaning.
In Green Bay, voters have a primary for Mayor. Incumbent Eric Genrich is seeking re-election to a 2nd term in office. He’s facing a challenge from Brown County administrator Chad Weininger, business owner Jane Juza and Paul Boucher.
Like the State Supreme Court race, the two survivors in the mayoral primary will face each other in the general election April 4th.
