APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Trout Museum of Art is looking at other options, now that it’s no longer considering the Ellen Kort Peace Park for its new facility.
The museum announced Wednesday that it is exploring other options. That’s because the environmental site assessment indicated there would be a greater financial and regulatory burden related to the site’s clean up, beyond the known history of the site.
Executive Director of the Trout Museum of Art Christina Turner discussed the decision with Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford this week. The decision is still pending Trout Museum of Art Board approval.
The matter will be discussed Wednesday night during the Appleton Common Council meeting.
