OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police are investigating a robbery after a man allegedly implied he had a weapon and stole money from an Oshkosh business.
The Oshkosh Police Department says it received information about the situation in the 700 block of Merritt Avenue shortly after 1:45 p.m. Monday.
The suspect entered the business, implied he had a weapon in his pocket and took an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was actually displayed.
The man then drove away in a dark-colored SUV. Police say it may have been a Jeep.
The suspect is described as a Black man in his 50s, wearing a dark-colored jacket, baseball hat and white sneakers.
Police say no weapon was actually seen during the robbery, and nobody was injured.
Police are asking anyone near the area with video surveillance cameras to review their footage.
