GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay Mayoral Candidate Chad Weininger cast has ballot this morning at the Green Bay Botanical Garden.
Weininger is running against incumbent Eric Genrich. Weininger says that he feels state and federal issues were given too big a spotlight in what is supposed to be a non-partisan local election; and he’s proud of the topics he’s campaigned on.
“We talked about the issues that are important to the City of Green Bay,” said Weininger. “Fixing our roads, making our neighborhoods more safe, ensuring that we have a better economic future for everyone. That’s what folks want in the City of Green Bay.”
Weininger previously served as the Director of Administration of Brown County for 8 years; which he claims shows that he is a non-partisan leader.
Voters at the Botanical Gardens voiced their support for Weininger; saying they want a change in administration.
