SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A resident, who was trapped on the roof during a house fire, was rescued by firefighters in Sheboygan.
Crews were first called to a home in the 1900 block of South 13th Street around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arriving, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the second-story home and a person trapped on the roof.
Crews immediately rescued the person while other crews entered the home with hose lines and began to put out the flames.
The resident as well as a firefighter received minor injures and both were treated and released on scene.
The house sustained about $75,000 worth damage and is not livable at this time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
