(WNFL) MILWAUKEE – It got ugly early at American Family Field in Milwaukee Friday night where the Milwaukee Brewers were pounded by the San Francisco Giants 15-1.
After the Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Giants scored 3 times in the second and 7 times in third inning off Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta.
Only 4 of the runs were earned due to errors by Peralta and Owen Miller.
Brewers reliever Ethan Small who was just called up allowed an additional 5 runs in his 3 innings of work from the sixth through eighth innings.
Former Brewers farm hand Mitch Haniger had 3 hits and 4 RBI for San Francisco. J.D. Davis, Patrick Bailey and Brett Wisely each drove in 3 runs. Haniger, Davis and Wisely each had home runs.
Alex Wood got the win for San Francisco.
The Brewers and Giants play again today with a 2:35 pre-game on 1360 and 97.5 WTAQ.
