GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Laene Piontek was sentenced to 32 years, six months in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl, and then trying to hire someone to kill the girl and her mother.
Piontek, 35, was also placed on extended supervision for 15 years by Judge Timothy Hinkfuss at Tuesday’s sentencing.
Piontek was convicted of five counts overall. He received a 25-year prison sentence for the sexual assaults, and seven years, six months in prison consecutive to that for solicitation of homicide. Sentences on the other three counts will be served concurrently, court records show.
Piontek repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl over the course of several years in 2014 and 2015, according to the complaint in that case.
A jail inmate told police Piontek offered him $20,000 for the murders, and wanted it to look like an accident. Piontek gave descriptions of the two, as well as making diagrams of their residence, according to the criminal complaint.
Piontek denied the allegations but a jury convicted him in March.
