GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Travelers at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) will get a taste of Wisconsin when Brown County Dairy Promotions comes to visit and celebrate June Dairy Month.
On Thursday, June 15 travelers and the public will be able to learn about Wisconsin’s dairy industry and grab some fresh Wisconsin made cheese in the Grand Lobby (next to Winona the Cow) from 1-4 p.m.
Airport Director, Mary Piette, says this may be the first time some of these travelers have been to Wisconsin.
“It’s providing a little bit of an experience about what to expect while in Wisconsin,” said Piette. “Hopefully while they’re in town it gives them the opportunity to go out and maybe visit a dairy farm or a cheese factory.”
This is the first time the airport is hosting an event like this; Piette said he hopes to continue dairy events in the future.
