MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One of the suspects in a multi-county mail theft and fraud scheme was sentenced to six months in jail in Manitowoc County.
Dionta Bratcher, 29, was convicted last week of three misdemeanor county of theft of movable property.
Bratcher and Derrell Edwards are suspected of stealing more than $600,000 from area businesses by stealing mail, then manipulating the checks and banking information to steal from those accounts.
Edwards has a status conference in Brown County on July 11.
Bratcher has a plea hearing Thursday in Brown County.
Both are also expected to face charges in Outagamie County, but nothing has been filed yet there.
