TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The project to upgrade Two Rivers’ Central Park is getting a boost from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The $50,000 grant comes from WEDC’s Vibrant Spaces Grant Program.
Plans call for upgrades to the park’s stage, the addition of a splash pad, an ice skating loop and a pavilion with public restrooms and a public rental space.
“Improving and expanding these types of amenities adds to the quality-of-life for those living here and adds another dimension to visiting and spending time in downtown Two Rivers,” city manager Greg Buckley said in a statement.
The city’s goal is to enhance the space for events, and when it is not hosting events, make it a space for relaxation.
