ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people are dead and four others injured after a car crash in Allouez late Friday night.
At 11:41 p.m. the Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of S. Webster Ave. and Allouez Ave. Investigators say that a 2013 Mercedes driven by a 21-year-old Green Bay man was traveling northbound on Webster Avenue when it struck a 2012 Toyota driven by a 28-year-old man from the Green Bay area that was turning eastbound onto Allouez Avenue from Webster Avenue.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene as was a passenger in the Mercedes. Four other people were injured and taken to area hospitals with one in critical condition.
A power pole broke during the crash which caused a power outage in the area.
Webster Ave was closed to all traffic between Allouez Ave and St. Joseph’s St., but it reopened early Saturday afternoon.
