GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Stephen Preisler — an author known as ‘Uncle Fester’ for his books on how make ricin, methamphetamine and other items – still does not have an attorney, but a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 9.
Preisler faces eight counts: four of manufacture or delivery of amphetamine, and one count each of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possess methamphetamine precursors, and maintaining a drug trafficking complaint.
Preisler said in court Wednesday he was working on liquidating his 401(k) to put towards the $100,000 cash bond set in the case. He called the charges “false accusations” but his top goal is posting bond so he can fight the charges.
Preisler attempted to address several of the charges, but the court commissioner noted this hearing wasn’t the forum for that.
The criminal complaint states the amount of methamphetamines found could last the average user anywhere from 328 days to over 3,000 days. Several of Preisler’s own books, related to drug manufacturing, were also found.
Three others were also charged in the case.
