GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — There’s a new ride to enjoy at Bay Beach Amusement Park.
Nebulaz made its debut on Saturday with the help of Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich and other city officials.
Using federal American Rescue Plan Act dollars, the city purchased the ride for $775,000 from Zamperla, who manufactured the ride in 2019, according to city documents.
The city expects to generate $762,816 from the ride after five years and $1,367,808 after 10 years.
Some young riders gave a review after trying Nebulaz out.
“It felt like I started lifting up and then back down when we got to the top,” said Oliver, who also admitted to feeling slightly nauseous.
“I felt a lot of butterflies and I felt kind of like flying,” said Aria.
It costs three 25 cent tickets to ride and you must be 42 inches to ride with an adult or 48 inches to ride alone.
After Monday, Bay Beach will only be open on weekends and closes for the season at the end of the month.
