WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Clintonville man accused of stabbing and killing his mother told police it was because of prior incidents between the two, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.
Jordan Peters, 19, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the Sept. 4 stabbing in a vehicle in Clintonville. An initial court appearance is planned for Monday afternoon.
Although authorities have not identified the victim, an obituary identifies her as Angela Zahn, and Peters as her son. Additionally, a probable cause document filed last week identifies their relationship as mother-son.
According the criminal complaint, after Zahn was stabbed, she identified her attacker as Peters.
“He hates me,” she told police, the complaint states.
Peters’ explanation to police cited their past history.
“During the interview when asked about what happened Jordan stated “I guess I got really angry and was thinking about the past and got to that breaking point and just stabbed her”. Officers asked Jordan why he had the knife with him today and Jordan stated “because I had plans to hurt [VICTIM].” Jordan went on to tell investigators that he had wanted to kill VICTIM for the last year and had begun planning it over the last week,” the complaint states.
A judge set a $1 million cash bond last week when ordering Peters held, although that could be revisited in court Monday.
