WAUPUN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A motorcyclist died after crashing into the back of a car in Fond du Lac County.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 49, west of Church Road, in the town of Waupun.
Deputies say a westbound car was waiting to make a left hand turn into Tom Dooley Apple Orchard when a westbound motorcycle struck the car.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 75-year-old Lomira man, was flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman from Mayville, and her passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Lomira, were not hurt.
Deputies say inattentive driving is believed to be a factor in the crash.
