(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – Josh Jacobs scored three touchdowns as the Packers ran past the San Francisco 49ers Sunday 38-10 in Green Bay on Sunday.
The Packers jumped out to a 17-0 lead which Packers coach Matt LaFleur said was a big start.
The Niners were playing without several All-Pro caliber starters, turned the ball over three times, and committed nine penalties.
The three turnovers led to 21 points.
The Green Bay running game dominated, with Jacobs rushing 26 times for 106 yards.
With a game coming up Thursday night, LaFleur said that he didn’t consider cutting back on Jacobs’ carries.
Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes.
LaFleur said that Love is coming around.
LaFleur talked about what led to better Red Zone production.
Love said that the red zone was better but there is still more to do.
As for going 5-for-5 in the Red Zone, what did Love like about their performance?
The San Francisco defense included only four players who were on the field in the playoff victory over the Packers last season.
Thursday Night Football is next for coach Matt LaFleur’s team with Miami visiting Lambeau Field.
