(UW ATHLETICS) MADISON, Wis. – CC Crawford and Devyn Robinson of the Wisconsin volleyball team were selected in the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) Monday afternoon.
In the second annual Pro Volleyball Federation draft, two Badgers were selected in the four-round draft. Middle blocker and opposite, Devyn Robinson was selected by the San Diego Mojo in the first round and was the fifth overall selection. Middle blocker CC Crawford followed shortly after, having been drafted by the Indy Ignite in the second round and 16th overall pick of the draft.
Robinson is a two-time AVCA All-American, and three-time All-Big Ten selection. In 2024, the six-foot-four middle/opposite was selected a team captain. The Iowa native has spent all five seasons with the Badgers, and so far in her caree, she has averaged 2.41 kills per set with a career .339 hitting percentage. She joined the Wisconsin 1,000 kill club in 2023, and is 11 blocks shy of a career total of 500.
Crawford spent her first two seasons at Kansas but played an instant and pivotal role in the Badger lineup in 2022. Known for her blocking, Crawford’s career average is 1.26 blocks per set, and reached her 600th career block this season against Indiana on October 24. In the active career list, the six-foot-four middle blocker is one of the best blockers in the NCAA. She currently ranks second among all Division I athletes with 641 total career blocks. In the last five years, Crawford is a two-time Defensive Player of the Week, two-time All-Big 12, and 2021 AVCA All-Region honoree.
Former All-American setter Sydney Hilley was the league’s tournament MVP when her and the Omaha Supernovas won its inaugural championship. Hilley signed in the off-season with the Indy Ignite. Former outside hitter, Temi Thomas-Ailara, was also a part of PVF’s inaugural season and played with the San Diego Mojo.
