APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Thompson Center on Lourdes says it’s close to reaching its renovation goal but needs an extra push from the public.
The nonprofit that aims to enrich the lives of older adults announced Monday the public launch of the Celebrate Life Capital Campaign to raise $6.5 million for the renovations and sustainability of its new location.
So far, the Thompson Center on Lourdes raised $4.5 million, with an additional $1 million awarded in ARPA funding from the city of Appleton to support the organization’s transition.
“Our community deserves an accessible, inclusive facility where older adults build connections and reimagine aging,” said Dawn Gohlke, Executive Director of TCoL. “As we launch the public phase, we are reaching out to the public for support for the first time. We invite everyone to be part of shaping a bright future for our community. With your support, we can create a space that truly embraces connection, wellness, knowledge and growth for generations to come.”
Beginning Jan. 16 and continuing for a limited time, every donation, regardless of size, will be a part of a $400,000 matching challenge, thanks to the generous support of Mary Beth Nienhaus.
All donations to the campaign are fully tax deductible.
