GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A project to repave six miles of the Fox River State Recreational Trail got a kickoff Wednesday.
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach says no property taxes are going into the $2.4 million project.
“As we try to figure out how to get people to live, work, and play in Brown County; I know for a fact that Discover Green Bay, Brown County Parks, The City of Green Bay, Allouez, De Pere, they all highlight this trail as an asset.”
Work on the trail is scheduled for three phases. It is expected to begin next week and last into early July.
