TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Three residents of Two Rivers were arrested Wednesday on drug-related charges.
An investigation led by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit began in January, when officials identified Jesse Miller as a person involved in the distribution of methamphetamine. Police conducted a controlled purchase from Miller in Manitowoc.
A few months later, in April, a separate investigation was launched into Brad Smith, who was also suspected of distributing methamphetamine. Controlled purchases were conducted at his Two Rivers home, located at 1812A 14th Street.
Investigators determined Smith and Miller lived at the same residence, with Smith occupying the second-floor apartment and Miller residing in the first-floor unit.
On Wednesday, a search warrant was executed at the residence. Both Smith and Miller were taken into custody, along with Anna Burt, who was also present at the time of the search. Officers found methamphetamine, THC and various drug paraphernalia.
Miller, Smith and Burt are being held at the Manitowoc County Jail on the following charges:
- Miller: Distribution of methamphetamine
- Smith: Distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeper of a drug house
- Burt: Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeper of a drug house
This case was investigated by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit with assistance from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Two Rivers Police Department and Manitowoc Police Department.
