(WNFL) – Milwaukee pitcher Quinn Priester improved his record to 6-2 and lowered his ERA to 3.35 with a sparkling 7-inning performance in the Brewers’ 5-0 win over the Colorado Rockies at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Saturday.
Priester allowed just 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 7 to get the win.
Alan Ashby and DL Hall each followed with an inning of scoreless relief to complete the shut out.
Bryce Turang continued to boost hisbatting average, gogin 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI to raise his average to .289. Jackson Chourio had 2 his as did Chad Durbin. Joey Ortiz had a 2-run home run in the fourth innning.
Antonio Senzatela took the loss for Colorad to fall to 3-11. He allowed 4 runs, 8 hits and 3 walks over 4 1/3 inning.
The 2 teams wrap up the series at Milwaukee this afternoon.
The Brewers will send Chad Patrick (3-7, 3.72) to the mound while Colorado will counter with Germán Márquez (3-8, 6.11).
