WEST ALLIS, WI (WLUK) – The Wisconsin State Fair did not reopen Sunday, August 10.
The decision was made by fair officials Sunday following last night’s flash flooding resulted in the early closure of State Fair Park.
A post on the Wisconsin State Fair’s official Facebook page said: “We understand the disappointment you may feel as our team works all year for these 11 days. However, the safety of our Fairgoers, teams, partners, and vendors will always be our top priority.”
The Fair says if you purchased tickets to the “Happy Together” tour this evening through ETix they will be automatically refunded.
The post continues, “…this is the best decision with current conditions and the forecast ahead.”
