Oconto County park to receive $1 million upgrade from federal grant

(WTAQ-WLUK) — An Oconto County park will see improvements, thanks to a federal grant.

More than $18.6 million of Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities (CDBG) program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) was granted to to 21 communities across Wisconsin.

In Northeast Wisconsin, Gillett will receive $1 million of that money to put toward public facility improvements Zippel Park.
