GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A downtown Green Bay bridge will be closed to vehicles and some boats on Monday.
The city’s public works department says the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge, which carries Dousman and Main streets over the Fox River, will be closed beginning at 7 a.m.
From 7 a.m.-3 p.m., the bridge will be closed between N. Washington Street and N. Broadway. Drivers will be detoured onto Broadway, E. Walnut Street and N. Monroe Avenue.
From 7 a.m.-noon, the bridge will be locked in the “down” position. Boats that can pass underneath it can continue to do so.
The bridge closure will allow crews to perform maintenance work.
