GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The construction on UW-Green Bay’s new library reached a new milestone Wednesday.
The campus held its Topping Out Ceremony for its new five-story, $101 million Cofrin Technology and Education Center (CTEC).
The building is positioned to become the university’s new front door to campus.
The ceremony celebrates the final structural beam put in place.
Work on the 52-year-old Cofrin Library replacement began in May. It’s expected to open in early 2027.
The new, modern building will drastically change the landscape of the campus, as the current eight-story Cofrin Library will be torn down in 2028.
