(UW ATHLETICS) MADISON – The Wisconsin softball team (16-11, 2-4 B1G) returns to Goodman Diamond for the first time this season, hosting Maryland (13-17, 1-8 B1G) in its weekend opener between Friday, March 27 and Sunday, March 29.
Friday’s game is set to start at 4:00 p.m. CT and will be televised on Big Ten Network. On Saturday and Sunday, first pitch is slated for 12:00 p.m. CT, as each game will be streamed on B1G+. Fans can follow along on live stats posted to uwbadgers.com.
The Terrapins enter Madison with an undefeated record at Goodman Diamond, as they last swept Wisconsin in a three-game series in their lone appearance in the Badger State in 2024. Maryland leads the all-time series 7-5 over the Badgers—winning the last four games.
UW enters with a record of 20-9 in their home openers, as they defeated Iowa with the help of a walk-off triple from Kendra Lewis in her freshman year. The Badgers concluded the 2025 season with a 13-3 record in Madison, which was good for the third-most wins at Goodman in a single season.
This past weekend, UW racked up a pair of wins to secure their first Big Ten series victory of the season—surging past Penn State in Happy Valley.
